Pneumatic Mechanic

For those that fabricate, assemble, test, maintain, and repair systems and components. All Mechanic certifications require a three (3)-hour written and a three (3)-hour job performance (hands-on) test.

Pneumatic Mechanic (PM) understands pneumatic and vacuum graphic symbology, reads system schematics, understands the operation of pneumatic and vacuum components and their function within a pneumatic or vacuum application, understands the use of proper troubleshooting techniques to define and identify causes of malfunctions within a pneumatic or vacuum system, and is skilled in using hand tools, measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers, and diagnostic testing equipment.
